The Siren is Akarua’s super premium vintage. It’s ambitious and bewitching, produced on the finest land of Cairnmuir, where the vines are lent their fullest expression by the extreme environment. A powerful, complex, and floral wine, with a brooding spiciness and seductive dark-berry tones. Handpicked, ages 18 months in one- and two-year-old French oak barriques, followed by 12 months in bottle.
Tasting notes:
Nose: Fragrant sweet dark berry, blueberry, spice, mushroom, and a hint of leather.
Palate: Full bodied with sweet dark cherries, spice, dried herb and smoky oak. Concentrated with bright acidity and silky fine texture.
Finish: A very long mineral finish.
