Born from an unexpected victory in 1876, The Tyrconnell takes its name from the chestnut colt that triumphed against the odds in the National Produce Stakes. Inspired by the moment, local distiller A.A. Watt crafted a limited-edition whiskey to honour the winning horse – an expression that soon became his most celebrated release and, before Prohibition, one of Ireland’s best-selling whiskeys. Today, The Tyrconnell lives on under the care of the Kilbeggan Distilling Company, with each bottle proudly bearing the commemorative label that recalls the colt’s legendary triumph.

While the Teeling family have been involved in distilling for generations, the brand itself can be considered one of the biggest in the "new wave" of Irish whiskey – a true resurgence in the industry which started in 1980s, following decades of decline, and which continues to this day. Nowadays, the Teelings treat whiskey enthusiasts, in Ireland and beyond, to new and innovative flavours, as well as unconventional techniques in distillation and maturation through unique cask finishes.

Midleton is one of Ireland’s most prestigious whiskey brands, renowned for its craftsmanship and innovation. Produced at the Midleton Distillery in County Cork, it is home to celebrated expressions such as Midleton Very Rare, Redbreast, and Powers. Known for combining traditional methods with cutting-edge techniques, Midleton whiskeys are distinguished by their exceptional quality, depth of flavour, and attention to detail. With a rich heritage and a commitment to excellence, the Midleton brand continues to define the gold standard in Irish whiskey.

J.J. Corry celebrates the art of Irish whiskey bonding by taking exceptional new-make spirits from Ireland’s emerging generation of distillers and guiding them on distinctive maturation journeys. Embracing both innovation and tradition, the team curates a diverse palette of flavours, sourcing spirit from across Ireland and pairing it with carefully chosen casks from around the world. From sherry butts in the hills of Spain to bourbon barrels from Kentucky and tequila casks from Mexico, every barrel adds a new layer of character within the Atlantic Rackhouse. Driven by curiosity and craft, J.J. Corry continues to explore, experiment and shape whiskeys that reflect the richness and renaissance of modern Irish whiskey.
