This website is managed from our store, James J. Fox, on Grafton Street, Dublin, Ireland. All orders received over the web are processed, fulfilled and dispatched from our store. Stock selection for your orders is carried out in store.
The stock items shown on this website are linked to our retail system stock to help ensure you can only order items that are readily available – there is no unannounced product substitution on our orders. If a product is out of stock, it will show as such and then be removed from sale through the website or marked accordingly. Please note there is a short time lag in updating stock, and therefore it is possible that a product is out of stock but is also shown as available for sale for a short period until the stock levels synchronise. In case that what you order is not in stock at the time, we will notify you swiftly and suggest possible solutions.
Orders placed Monday to Friday before midday will generally be processed and dispatched on the same day. Any orders placed after 12pm or on weekends will be processed and dispatched on the following working day.
Emails received in the course of the online ordering process will be answered promptly by one of our staff members. Alternatively, if you call us on +353 1 6770533, you will be able to get in touch with a member of staff with all our inventories on hand to help you with your product selection, or specific requirements.
Tax rates and VAT-free orders
All orders shipped within the European Union are subject to the applicable VAT rate (23% on most of our selection). The displayed prices would include VAT if you are browsing from the EU, or would exclude VAT if you are browsing from outside the European Union.
VAT is added depending on where the order is shipped to. Orders shipped within the European Union will automatically include VAT, and orders shipped outside the EU will have the VAT deducted – please note this does not apply to shipping fees.
Please note that all orders collected in our store are subject to the current VAT rate, even if you're not an EU citizen.
If, for any reason, you are uncomfortable entering credit card details online, please be assured that we use the safest security systems – our payment processing partner, Windcave, is one of the leading providers on the market. Your details are processed on their secure servers and at no point does our staff have access to your full card information, nor is it saved for any future use.
Due to postal restrictions, we are unable to send any liquid products outside Ireland by post. Liquids can only be delivered with courier service.
How much will my order weigh?
Each product listed on our website has its weight assigned to it in our database – the total weight of all items in your cart, along with your delivery address, will be used to calculate the fees and present the available options to you at checkout.
For whiskey and other spirits, the estimated weight per bottle is around 1.5–1.8kg (some bottles, such as limited releases with more robust packaging, can weigh more). To get a precise quote, add the desired items to your cart and, on the cart page, use the "Estimate Shipping" option. You can also contact us directly and we'll be happy to provide a quote for you.
(1) Click & Collect
Click & Collect orders can be collected free of charge from our store in Grafton Street, Dublin, only by persons over the age of 18. Please allow some time for your order to be prepared before you arrive for collection – you'll receive a notification once it's ready, usually within up to a few hours from placing the order. Please note that all orders collected from the store are subject to VAT, even for non-EU citizens.
By default, an Order placed for in-store collection is kept for a minimum of 60 days from the day we notify you that it's ready for collection. If you need more time to visit us and collect it, we encourage you to get in touch and let us know – otherwise, Orders that are unclaimed within this period may be cancelled and refunded, while the items in question may no longer be available to re-order.
(2) Express Post (Republic of Ireland)
Any order shipped within Ireland (RoI only) can be delivered with An Post Express Post. The delivery fee is €8.50, or €0.00 if the order total is over €100. In nearly all cases, such items are delivered on the following working day after dispatch.
(3) International Registered Post (Europe, and the rest of the world)
Delivery to European Countries (excl. mainland UK) and the Rest of the World is calculated upon checkout, depending on the weight and contents of your order. Maximum weight for international shipping with this option is 5kg. We regret that we cannot ship liquids abroad through Registered Mail due to postal restrictions – for such orders, please refer to our UPS courier service rates further down this page.

(4) UPS Courier Service
Courier service is the only available method for shipping liquids internationally, but can generally be used for any order. Each package has an individual tracking number, which you'll receive in your shipping notification by email. It can be looked up on the UPS website to view its current status and tracking history.
(4a) Northern Ireland
UPS courier deliveries within Northern Ireland with grand total under €150 have a flat fee of €12. If your order is over €150, it'll be free of charge.
(4b) European countries served by UPS Standard (road) service
Please note that these fees don't account for any additional taxes/duties that may be applied by the relevant authorities in the destination country, which will have to be covered by the recipient, or seizures by customs services. Since the rules vary in each country, we're unable to offer meaningful advice, or accept any liability – we advise you to contact the relevant local authorities to find out what restrictions may be applicable in your country. However, we will prepare and label your package in such a way to minimise the risk of extra charges or seizures where possible.
