Kilchoman Sanaig brings together rich sherry character and pronounced Islay peat smoke. Dried fruit, ripe plums and dark chocolate give this single malt a generous sweetness, balanced by citrus and warming spice.

Its smoky character has a barbecue-like richness, running through layers of toffee, cherries and oak. The result is a mouth-coating whisky that suits drinkers who enjoy the combination of sherry depth and substantial peat.

Named after a rocky inlet on Islay’s Atlantic coast, Sanaig offers a richer, more sherry-led expression of Kilchoman’s style than Machir Bay.

Tasting notes:
Nose: Fragrant heather, raisins, pear and orange peel with waves of stoned fruits, mixed spices and rich peat smoke.

Palate: Over ripe plums, red cherries and hints of citrus give way to rich barbeque peat smoke, toffee, oak and dark chocolate.

Finish: Mouth-coating mixed fruit, caramel, cinnamon and clove with layers of brown sugar, spices, peat smoke and lasting sweetness.
