Selección
Two Cities. One Family.
A new chapter in a tradition of specially selected cigars — handmade in Danlí, Honduras, for James J. Fox.
Explore the rangeThe natural next step from the House Blend
James J. Fox Selección builds on the success of the Fox House Blend using the same blueprint — a different blend, a different presentation and a different market position, while keeping the philosophy of flavour and quality at its heart.
Its design honours a Fox tradition of developing bespoke lines with some of the grand marques of Havana — a tradition that began in the late nineteenth century and only concluded in the 1980s.
Three vitolas, one selección
The whole James J. Fox team helped choose these three sizes. Each is long-filler and entirely handmade, rolled from the finest Honduran and Nicaraguan tobacco.

View No. 7Smooth, rich, and quietly complex
Flavours of leather and earth, complemented by hints of sweetness. Subtle layers of black pepper, spice, mineral and malt add complexity, while a distinct aftertaste lingers on the palate.
Begins just shy of medium-bodied, gradually increasing in strength as it progresses.
Made in Danlí
The James J. Fox Selección is long-filler and entirely handmade at the Danlí Cigar Factory in Honduras, rolled using the finest Honduran and Nicaraguan tobacco.
Compared with the House Blend, it offers a more nuanced and sophisticated smoke, with greater attention to detail in both appearance and presentation.
A tradition faithfully recreated
From the late nineteenth century, James J. Fox commissioned bespoke cigars from the great Havana houses — among them the Punch Néctares No. 2, inspiration for the first ever Irish Regional Edition, and the Partagás Selección Fox No. 3.
Their boxes carried a yellow ribbon drawn across the top row of cigars, fixed to the side with a dress stud. Each of these details has been recreated in the slide-lid boxes that house twenty James J. Fox Selección.
“Specially selected by James J. Fox, London & Dublin.”
In the details
Twenty cigars in a slide-lid box, finished with the care of the lines that inspired it.
The seal
Reminiscent of the Cuban Warranty seals of 1889 — here decorated with the façades of 19 St James’s Street and 119 Grafton Street.
The band
Created by Claessens International and printed by Vrijdag — layers of colour, gold foiling and embossing, die-cut for the cigars.
The ribbon
A yellow ribbon drawn across the top row of cigars and fixed to the box with a dress stud, just as the originals were.
The vitolina
Each box contains a flyer telling the story of the Selección, printed in English, Irish and Spanish.
