The Hoyo de Monterrey Le Hoyo de Río Seco is a distinguished Cuban cigar that brings a contemporary dimension to the historic Serie Le Hoyo collection. Introduced in 2018, it represents a departure from the traditionally slender formats associated with the series, embracing a generous ring gauge while preserving the elegance and aromatic refinement for which Hoyo de Monterrey is renowned.

Established in 1865 by José Gener, the Hoyo de Monterrey brand takes its name from a celebrated tobacco plantation in San Juan y Martínez, within Cuba's prestigious Vuelta Abajo region.

The Río Seco draws directly on this heritage, using tobaccos cultivated in the San Juan y Martínez district to create a distinctive expression of the brand's character. Its substantial proportions offer a leisurely smoking experience, combining richness and complexity with the approachable strength that has made Hoyo de Monterrey a favourite among Havana enthusiasts.
