The Flintlock Batch 4 is a mature Irish single malt with a bright, floral character. Orchard and stone fruits sit alongside citrus, creamy sweetness and delicate almond notes, offering depth without losing its freshness.
Selected and married by J.J. Corry, this release brings together six casks from a single distillery before a Fino sherry finish adds a further layer of grape and floral character.
It suits drinkers who enjoy fruit-led Irish malt with the complexity of extended maturation and a lighter, more delicate sherry influence.
Tasting notes:
Nose: The recognisable ‘Flintlock’ white stone fruits and forest berries are first to appear and subtle hints of orange blossom.
Palate: Layers and layers of flavours. Ripe orchard flavours and a complex underlay of sweet Jasmine coming through from the Moscatel. The mid palate is bright with lime and grapefruit and fresh summer wildflower honey.
