Aged for five years in Oloroso sherry butts and finished in rare Pedro Ximénez Spínola 1918 casks, this limited-edition release showcases the depth and elegance imparted by Spain’s finest sherry oak. Only 1,127 bottles were produced, each one a testament to the artistry and precision behind Achill Island’s maturing style.

On the nose, polished oak and soft leather mingle with dried fruits, pecans, dark chocolate, and a hint of orange zest. The palate unfolds in layers of sultanas, raisins, figs, and stewed orchard fruits, lifted by bright citrus and wrapped in treacle, vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg. The finish is long and indulgent, leaving notes of raisin, fig, and dark treacle carried by gentle spice.

Bottled at 44% ABV, Achill Island PX Special Edition offers a rich, velvety balance of fruit, spice, and wood — a collector’s whiskey that captures the essence of Irish coastal maturity and sherry-soaked indulgence.
