Teeling Blackpitts is a peated Irish single malt distilled in Dublin, combining barbecue smoke with bright fruit and honeyed sweetness. Triple distillation helps shape its distinctive smoky character, allowing the fruit and spice to remain clearly expressed alongside the peat.
Maturation in bourbon and Sauternes wine casks brings a sweet, fruity counterpoint to the smoke. Butterscotch, pear and grilled pineapple sit alongside clove and savoury wood notes, making this an expressive choice for drinkers who enjoy smoky whiskey with plenty of fruit and sweetness.
Tasting notes:
Nose: Barbeque Smoke and Cloves, with Butterscotch and Orange Peel.
Palate: Applewood Smoke, Honey and Allspice, combine with Stewed Pears and Grilled Pineapple.
