This limited edition is inspired by two of the distillery founders' past – Ger and Denis McCarthy were trawlermen off the coast of West Cork before they entered the whiskey industry. The third co-founder, John O'Connell, came up with the idea of a bespoke spherical bottle, as reference to vintage glass fishing floats.
Patiently matured in first-fill bourbon casks and finished in Quinta Da Boeira Port casks.
Tasting notes:
Nose: Dried fruit with spice notes of nutmeg and black pepper. Vanilla and toffee also present.
Palate: The port cask finish is the sweetest of the offerings, with the aroma of dried fruit pulling through.
