Roaming Road’s six-year-old wheated Kentucky bourbon pairs a wheat-containing mash bill with a finishing period in an Irish whiskey cask. Selected from a single barrel, it combines American bourbon character with a distinct Irish influence.
Caramel and oak provide the foundation, with creamy butterscotch, toffee and a hint of sweet malt adding depth. Soft spice balances the sweetness, while toasted grain and chocolatey malt give the aromas further detail.
Bottled at cask strength, it suits drinkers who enjoy a rounded, sweet bourbon profile with enough concentration to explore neat, over ice or with a little water.
