Port Charlotte Islay Barley 2008 combines heavily peated spirit with barley grown entirely on Islay. Produced at Bruichladdich Distillery, it brings the island’s grain into focus alongside a distinctly smoky, maritime character.
Tropical fruit and citrus provide brightness against dry peat smoke, toasted wood sweetness and pepper. The result is a lively expression with plenty of smoke, but also fruit and freshness to explore. It suits drinkers who enjoy coastal, peated whisky with a clear connection to the origins of its barley.
