Punch Néctares No. 50 marks the first-ever Habanos Regional Edition made exclusively for the Irish market.
Unveiled in June 2025, Punch Néctares No. 50 marks a historic milestone: the first time a Cuban cigar has been created under the Habanos Regional Edition programme exclusively for Ireland. Produced in Cuba and limited to just 1,400 numbered cabinets, this Magnum 50 vitola revives the storied Néctares name — once a cult favourite in Irish & UK humidors — and unites rich Cuban tradition with Irish cigar heritage.

Reviving a Name Beloved by Irish & UK Aficionados
Long before the idea of an Irish Regional Edition cigar, the Néctares line held a special place in the hearts (and humidors) of Irish & UK cigar lovers. Crafted under the Punch brand and sold exclusively through James J. Fox shops in Dublin and London, these numbered vitolas built a quiet cult following through the 1970s and early 80s.
Though discontinued decades ago, the Néctares name never faded in memory. With the release of Punch Néctares No. 50, that legacy is reborn – not as a reproduction, but as a tribute. A new cigar that honours what once was, while staking its claim in modern cigar history – including setting Ireland among the prestiguous markets to have hosted an Edición Regional.

Punch: A Legacy Rolled Through Time
Founded in 1840, Punch is one of the oldest surviving Habanos brands – originally created for the British market and long admired for its balanced blend and approachable strength. With its distinctive flavour profile and signature woody sweetness, Punch cigars have remained a favourite among those who appreciate character without overpowering intensity.
Over the decades, Punch has weathered revolutions, ownership changes, and evolving tastes – all while staying true to its Cuban roots. Today, it continues to be made entirely by hand, using long-filler tobacco from the world-renowned Vuelta Abajo region in Pinar del Río, Cuba.
Whether enjoyed fresh or aged for years in cedar cabinets (where they develop a complexity that truly makes them shine), Punch cigars offer consistent pleasure and timeless depth – a staple for collectors and casual smokers alike.

What Is a Regional Edition?
Since 2005, Habanos S.A. has allowed a select group of distributors around the world to commission limited-production cigars, tailored exclusively for their home markets. These are the Habanos Regional Editions – ultra-rare vitolas made from Cuba’s finest tobacco, crafted to embody local preference, heritage, and identity.
Each edition is produced in small numbers, never to be repeated, and only sold within the nominated country or region. Collectors pursue them. Connoisseurs savour them. And for the first time ever, Ireland has joined this storied tradition with the launch of Punch Néctares No. 50 – an Exclusivo Irlanda release that unites Cuban craftsmanship with Irish cigar culture.
This isn’t just a cigar. It’s a milestone.
