The Yellow Spot Irish Whiskey was re-introduced by Mitchell & Son, inspired by the original Yellow Spot that was last bottled in the 1950s.
Yellow Spot is a Single Pot Still Whiskey that has been matured for 12 years in three different oak cask types; American Bourbon barrels, Spanish Sherry butts and Spanish Malaga casks. The influence of the Malaga Cask gives the Yellow spot a sweet note, making it a delightful taste experience. The Yellow Spot Irish Whiskey is available in limited quantities!
Tasting notes:
Nose: Mown Hay & Cracked Black Pepper. Red Bell Peppers, Nutmeg, Clove Oil, Green Tea. Sweet Honey & Peaches.
Palate: Honey Sweetness with Pot Still Spices. Flavours of Fresh Coffee, Creamy Milk Chocolate & Crème Brûlée.
Finish: Red Apples & Toasted Oak.
