Roe & Co Solera Edition 01 is a Dublin-distilled single malt with a richly textured character and layers of fruit, caramel and toasted nuts. It brings together orchard and tropical fruit with darker sugar notes, balancing generous sweetness against a moderately dry finish.
Its distinctive solera system draws on several types of cask, gradually combining their individual influences. The result moves from muscovado sugar and fresh fruit aromas to maple syrup, roasted walnut and coconut on the palate.
Substantial enough for slow sipping and expressive enough for cocktails, it offers an adventurous introduction to Roe & Co’s own single malt whiskey.
Tasting notes:
Nose: Hints of muscovado sugar, apples and pears, followed by tropical fruits and sherried notes.
Palate: Maple syrup and caramel, with complex notes of roasted walnut, coconut, and dried fruit.
Finish: Medium dry finish with caramelised baked pear and luscious tropical fruits.
