Redacted 4 Year Old Five Grain Whiskey Release 002

Redacted Release 002 is a four-year-old Irish whiskey distilled at Blackwater Distillery in County Waterford. Made entirely from Irish-grown grains, its recipe brings together barley, malted barley, oats, wheat and rye, with a small inclusion of Irish turfed malt.

Double pot distillation and an unconventional grain recipe connect this release with Ireland’s older, more varied whiskey-making traditions. It offers an opportunity to explore the role of different grains in Irish whiskey.

Selected by Redacted Independent Bottlers, the release combines four casks before a further period of maturation together in a Widow Jane bourbon barrel.
