Powers distillery used to sit next to Guinness brewery and just across the river from Jameson's. Still the biggest selling whiskey in Ireland, although not in Dublin. The 70-80% pot still whiskey in the blend gives it a big, oily flavour and it is aged solely in bourbon casks.
