Kinsale Spirit Spanish Earl Single Malt

Spanish Earl is a triple-distilled Irish single malt with a distinctive combination of coffee, chocolate and fruit flavours. Imperial stout and Jamaican rum cask finishes give it a creamy, dessert-like character, balanced by a gently spicy finish.

Dark chocolate and coffee lead into fig, raisin and ripe banana, with brighter strawberry-and-cream notes on the nose. The rum influence adds toffee sweetness alongside the stout casks’ darker character.

Part of Kinsale Spirit Company’s whiskey range, it suits drinkers who enjoy rich, rounded single malts and offers an interesting option for whiskey-based coffee cocktails.

Tasting notes:
Nose: Dark chocolate, indulgent coffee & cream, reminiscent of Irish Cream Liqueur, strawberry and cream becomes quite distinct, dried fruit / ”rummy” notes.

Palate: Coffee and dark chocolate; tiramisu, Irish stout creaminess, dried fruit: fig, raisin and a little ripe banana and tropical fruit.

Finish: Nice length, with a little bit of raisin and a slight kick of spice on the back-end.
