Since opening their distillery in 2019, Clonakilty Distillery has crafted this exceptional Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey, now available in a miniature 50ml bottle – perfect for whiskey tasting or gifting.
Made from 100% Cork-grown barley, this triple-distilled Irish whiskey is produced in traditional copper pot stills and matured in Clonakilty’s Atlantic Ocean Warehouse, where the unique coastal climate influences its distinctive character.
This premium Irish whiskey is aged in a combination of ex-Bourbon, Amontillado, and Oloroso sherry casks, resulting in a complex flavour profile. Expect sweet vanilla and kiwi notes, balanced by caramelised pear and dark chocolate, creating a rich, full-bodied whiskey experience.
Tasting notes:
Nose: Vanilla sweetness leads to hints of demerara sugar, citrus peel and kiwi.
Palate: Vanilla, caramelised pear and apple, gives way to a gentle wood spice, dark chocolate and orange.
