Writers’ Tears Single Pot Still pairs pot still spice with candied sweetness and toffee-apple aromas. Triple distilled from malted and unmalted barley, it begins its maturation in bourbon barrels before further maturation in PX sherry and Florio Marsala casks. The result is a dessert-like style with a lightly chewy palate and a lingering, warming finish.
Tasting notes:
Nose: Candied sweetness and toffee apples.
Palate: Notes of pot still spice and the velvet, dessert-like qualities of PX Sherry, finishing with a light chewiness.
Finish: A lingering finish with great warmth.
