Teeling 21 Year Old Single Malt – Rising Reserve No. 2
- Country of Produce: Ireland
- Whiskey Type: Single Malt
- ABV: 46%
- Bottle Volume: 70cl
The second "Rising Reserve" release follows on from the highly successful first edition released in 2022, that paved the way for their new vintage Single Malt series that is crafted to celebrate the true global Renaissance of Teeling, Dublin and Irish Whiskey, as it continues to be the fastest growing premium spirit in the world.
The second instalment in the Rising Reserve series features a 21-Year-Old Single Malt. This exceptional whiskey underwent primary aging in ex-Bourbon barrels for over 18 years, followed by a distinctive 3-year maturation in high-quality Marsala casks, renowned fortified wine from Sicily. The extended period in Marsala casks is responsible for infusing the whiskey with distinct dark fruit and orchard fruit notes, harmoniously blended with hints of brown sugar and cinnamon-like spice. This recently unveiled addition to the exclusive collection received the prestigious Masters award in the fiercely competitive Single Malt category at the 2023 Irish Whiskey Masters Awards. It serves as a remarkable example of how different cask types contribute to the creation of unique expressions in matured Irish Single Malt. Limited to just 6,000 bottles, this Single Malt is then bottled at 46% ABV and undergoes no chill filtration.
