The Joya de Nicaragua Cinco Décadas El Embargo is an exclusive, generously proportioned Nicaraguan cigar created as a tribute to resilience, perseverance and the enduring relationship between Joya de Nicaragua and its European customers. Introduced in 2020 as a special addition to the prestigious Obras Maestras collection, this limited release commemorates the challenges the company overcame during the United States trade embargo of 1985.
Distinguished by its impressive Gigante format and elegant box-pressed construction, El Embargo offers a luxurious smoking experience built around exceptional tobacco selection and refined craftsmanship. Its carefully matured leaves deliver remarkable balance, combining rich flavours with a smooth, composed character.
Originally produced in a limited run of just 500 boxes of ten cigars, El Embargo was created primarily for European markets as a gesture of gratitude for their longstanding support of Nicaraguan cigar-making.
