GG - Tyrconnel
Born from an unexpected victory in 1876, The Tyrconnellย takes its name from the chestnut colt that triumphed against the odds in the National Produce Stakes. Inspired by the moment, local distiller A.A. Watt crafted a limited-edition whiskey to honour the winning horse โ an expression that soon became his most celebrated release and, before Prohibition, one of Irelandโs best-selling whiskeys. Today, The Tyrconnellย lives on under the care of the Kilbeggan Distilling Company, with each bottle proudly bearing the commemorative label that recalls the coltโs legendary triumph.
