Flying Fortress "Twenty-One Or Bust" Irish Whiskey

During the Second World War, seventeen B-17 Flying Fortress bombers of the United States Air Force made unexpected landings in Ireland. One of them, Twenty-One or Bust, touched down at Rineanna Airfield — the very site that would later become Shannon Airport.

The warm welcome extended to its crew marked the beginning of a remarkable transatlantic friendship. That bond between Ireland and the United States would go on to shape the future of travel commerce – with Shannon becoming home to the world’s first Duty-Free shop in 1947.

This special release is a tribute to Twenty-One or Bust and its historic landing. A carefully crafted blend of single grain, single malt, and single pot still Irish whiskeys, it honours the moment when Irish hospitality met American courage.
