A bold revival of Donegal’s lost whiskey tradition, Ardara Single Malt Irish Whiskey is a true product of place — rich in character, deeply rooted in heritage, and crafted with uncompromising precision at The Ardara Distillery in County Donegal.

Made using heavily peated malted barley (55ppm) and produced through a rare “all grain in” distillation process, Ardara captures the earthy, smoky intensity once synonymous with the region’s illicit distilling past. Each drop is triple distilled and begins its journey in the distillery’s unique Solera vat, ensuring exceptional balance and continuity from batch to batch.

Matured in American bourbon and virgin oak casks, the whiskey delivers an expressive and sherry-forward profile. On the nose, aromas of sweet cereal, poached figs, coconut, raisins, and pipe tobacco rise gently from the glass. The palate reveals layers of warm beignets, roasted coconut, almond, leather, and rolled tobacco, unfolding into waves of campfire smoke and a lingering baked apple finish. The experience concludes with a long, comforting echo of smoke, spice, and peat fire warmth.

At 46% ABV and a Gold Medal winner at the Irish Whiskey Masters 2025, Ardara Single Malt stands as both a celebration of Donegal’s distilling past and a statement of its future — a rich, smoky declaration of place, passion, and rebirth.
