Roaming Road’s six-year-old Kentucky bourbon combines a corn-led recipe with a finishing period in an Irish whiskey cask. Independently selected from a single barrel, it brings a distinctive Irish connection to an American whiskey.
Creamy vanilla, caramel and butterscotch give it a generous sweetness, supported by toasted wood and gentle spice. Buttered popcorn and a little biscuity malt add further character.
Its substantial bottling strength makes it an engaging bourbon to explore slowly, with room to adjust the intensity using a little water. It suits drinkers who enjoy sweet oak flavours and unusual cask combinations.
