The 1817 Release is a limited-edition whiskey, made by Powers Irish Whiskey in cooperation with the LVA (Licensed Vinters Association) - one of the oldest trade associations in Ireland, to celebrate their bicentenary. Triple distilled and non-chill filtered, Powers 1817 Release is a single pot still whiskey characterised by full, spicy and wonderfully complex flavours, which personifies the style of whiskey that was renowned the world over and prevalent in the pubs of Dublin in 1817 at the foundation of the LVA. Powers 1817 Release reveals a complex background of barley and oak in its tasting notes, with aromatic flavours including vanilla, sweet fruits, herbs and spices.
