Xin Gin

€49.99

Xin Gin was designed to be at the heart of gatherings. Xin’s founders Michelle & Gareth McAllister have Irish blood, and Asian hearts. After spending many years in Asia, they wanted to merge what they loved about their two homes. The word itself means ‘heart’ or ‘feelings’ in Mandarin.

This is a juniper-led dry gin with fresh citrus notes of orange zest and lemongrass combined with the exotic taste of the Asian fruit, persimmon, held by an earthy, herbaceous undertone of dill and cinnamon spice.

Gareth & Michelle McAllister

After living and working in several countries, the McAllisters returned to Ireland with the goal of converting their passion for artisan Irish spirits into a family company. They fell in love with the narrative of the ancient mill in Ahascragh, County Galway, when they visited it: the exquisite masonry, the history of the structures, and the charm of the little community pulled them in.

The natural resources and calm environment in the midst of the countryside offer a perfect whiskey-making setting. Gareth and Michelle are committed to producing high-quality Irish spirits with integrity, innovation, and flare.

Ahascragh, County Galway

Ahascragh Distillery will be a cutting-edge distillery and tourism attraction in the West of Ireland. The historic Ahascragh mill was built in the early 1800s and processed grain into flour until the 1950s. The mill complex, located in the centre of the hamlet and rich in history, has been abandoned for the past 70 years. With ambitions for a world-class experience and hospitality destination within an operating craft distillery in the village of Ahascragh, County Galway, the creators are giving the building new life.

The eco-distillery will be fueled by renewable energy and will employ state-of-the-art technologies. The Ahascragh team is driven by a desire to create some of Ireland's first carbon-neutral whiskey and gin.
