A highly exclusive expression – just three casks are produced each year. Each bottle comes numbered by cask as a mark of quality. Triple distilled, non-chill filtered, and crafted from a mash bill made entirely of Irish barley.
This 2023 edition was bottled at 54% ABV and yielded 606 individually numbered bottles.
Tasting notes:
Nose: The redolent sherry influence from the cask is what fills the senses. It's powerful, but not overpowering. A well-measured balance that's both sweet and deep, inviting you in like a roaring fire in the depths of winter.
Palate: Singular. You might even say, spectacular. And bursting with sherried notes. Imagine a cosy room, a roaring fire, that warm, welcoming feeling - that's just what this whiskey is. The toasted oak is unmistakable. Gentle, warming, alive with real character. And the oloroso sherry cask imbues deep red hues, matched only by dark succulent fruits – like steeped sherried raisins, or even a rich fruit cake. This complex, unexpected sweetness gives way to a nuttiness, and waves of dark chocolate, making every sip feel like the beginning of a whole new decadent story.
