Cuban Cigars – El Rey del Mundo

Cuban Cigars – El Rey del Mundo

El Rey del Mundo – "King of the World". The brand was created in the 1840s under the supervision of Antonio Allones and the first cigars were made in the cigar factory bearing his name. The original name of the brand was "The King of the World". The brand was extremely successful during the 19th and the 20th century and their cigars were amongst the most expensive in the world. This success resulted in the change of the brands name to what it is known as today, El Rey del Mundo. The El Rey del Mundo brand and JJ Fox go way back – with several sizes within the cabinet selection of El Rey del Mundo portfolio being made exclusively for Fox. Alas, these examples are now consigned to history; however, the brand continues as a favourite. The brand is less full bodied and milder in flavour than other Habanos brands, but has always been very popular due to the quality of the tobacco leaves used for their cigar. The El Rey del Mundo cigars always wear beautiful silky wrappers, with a golden/honey shade.
